The Kidz

These days, one of the first things Fazal does in the morning is search for Tesina. When he sees her he smiles and giggles. This morning she was in her swing as we were getting breakfast together and he sat down in front of the swing and "chatted" with her, showed her a few toys, and let me know when she needed my attention. He marvels at her tiny fingers and toes. He offers her some of his food. It is pretty cute. We pray this affection not only lasts, but grows!

At breakfast this morning, as Fazal sat in his high chair and Tesina sat in her mama's lap squirming and making chirping noises, Fazal reached out and offered his baby sister a raisin. It was SO CUTE. Then he tickled her toes and compared the size of their hands. Oh my...

Miss Tesina

We brought Tesina home today, Tuesday February 10th. She is two days old. She's a real sweetheart...and Fazal is a very nice, proud older brother. More photos, slowly but surely.

New Member to Our Nascent Family

Christina, Jafred, and Fazal are happy to announce the arrival of Tesina Caryl Mato, a new member to our family.

Tesina was born on February 8, 2009 at 10:34 am. She weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces, and measured 20 inches long. Her arrival was a hasty one, about 5.5 hours of labour, compared to her brother 17 months ago.

Tesina has been named after her grandmother from her father's side, and after her great grandmother from her mother's side (Caryl).

Both the mother and the new born are in good health and Fazal can't wait to meet his little sister after they come back home (soon).
