This is one of those rare weeks that all of us - Jafred, Christina and Fazal - get to be on vacation together, with no agenda, no schedules, no meetings, no homework, no alarm clocks...so after we get home, we'll update the blog again. I better go put my feet up again!

Low Tide
The neat thing about this beach is that at low tide, the water goes waaaaay out, explosing a huge beach of soft sand that is completely covered during high tide. It's the perfect time to find small puddles that have heated up in the sun (as you may know, Maine water is horribly cold).

Meeting Em and Cedric in Maine
Christina and Fazal spent the weekend up at the house in Maine with Emily and Cedric!! YAY! We had such a great time taking walks, watching the Olympics, playing Trivial Pursuit, eating good food, and......it was Fazal's first time to the beach!! His aunt Emily took him several times to dip his feet in the water and dig in the sand. We had a blast.
Young Electrician
Fazal can't get enough of plugs, outlets, light switches, anything with buttons, that beeps or blinks...We let him explore unless it is dangerous. The plug he's playing with in these photos wasn't attached to anything! It usually takes him a while, for example, to figure out that we've unplugged a telephone so that he won't actually dial someone while he presses the buttons!

Find that Raisin
I made a pretty bad zucchini quiche for dinner tonight, so to allow myself some extra time to digest before I go to bed....here are some photos of a game we played this weekend called Find that Raisin. It has been raining a lot here (almost once a day for weeks) and so we have been in need of indoor games so we don't go stir crazy.
F.T.R. (hahaha) involved three plastic cups and a handful of raisins and you guessed it, I'd hide a raisin under one of the cups and he'd go looking for it. Hooray!! Long after the raisins were gone, Fazal was still looking for them....until he realized it was also fun to chew on the edge of a cup.
