Starting to grip and grab

This week, Fazal started to realize that he can voluntarily touch and grab things. It is very interesting to watch! The moments captured in the photos below, with a teddy bear (thanks Wairimu), was really the first time he consiously grabbed on to something - the bear with his soft fur must have been appealing. Ever since, he's been developing that ability, grabbing towels, our shirts, and yesterday, one of the plastic circles in his play pen! He seemed surprised that he could do it, since until now he was just involuntarily wacked them :-) He also seems to favor his left hand...we shall see in time if that means he is left-handed, but for now it's probably too early to tell.

Here he is looking up at his mobile - he has become friends with the little animals that hang from it, and smiles every time he sees them.
Wearing sunglasses - he wasn't crazy about it, but we had a lot of laughs!
